Alternate OS affect G1G1 Numbers?

I'm trying to find out if having alternate Operating System options such as Xtra Ordinary can have any impact on encouraging more people to participate in the G1G1 if they know they have other options for using their 'get 1" laptop?

We (On-Disk.com) did the Fedora 10 SD Cards for last years G1G1, but were unable to tell if anyone actually participated because they had the option of using Fedora?

Any ideas or feedback would be great.

For sure, having alternate OSes that can run on XOs can be a good thing, in itself, and as learning processes.

Since there has not been a recent G1G1 there is no real way to measure what the effect of your 2009 and 2010 releases will mean for overall XO numbers.
