Yes, it was service@ who sent me that batch message, which we see as I suspected was not accurate.

Fedex says my (replacement - because olpc and fedex misplaced the first one - see earlier in this thread) laptop is Destination: SAN FRANCISCO, CA

This would be great, except I live in CA as in Canada. According to fedex, it is to be delivered tomorrow, but it is in Utah right now, so I hope they are using a time warp or wormhole, or else that seems unlikely.

I am hoping (with little actual hope) that SF is a depot that will then ship north, but this seems SO unlikely.

Confirming my address 3 times did not seem to 'take'?

I have PMed you Infamy.

At least yours is in route. I ordered mine on the second day of the Give 1 Get 1, and the best they can tell me is that I might get it by April. The real irony is that I am located 15 minuets away from the SF Fedex depot.

Mine is (apparently) en route to the wrong address for the second time in a row (although according to the awesomely coded page at laptopgiving it is still 'waiting to be shipped from warehouse - that is just adding insult to injury - take the page down if it is broken guys!!).

And yeah, I was a day1 donor.

zz9,

Remember, laptopgiving is donor services. They were not in the loop for this one, so that page won't reflect your actual status.

Will dig into this in the morning, and get that package going in the proper direction.

I am so happy to be able to post that as of 1 minute ago, my saga seems to be over. Fedex just delivered. I was given the wrong tracking number, the happiest mistake that was possible :)

Infamy, kudos and thank you for all you did, you kept me from doing anything rash hehe.

Ordered December 2nd, and have been on the phone at least 32 times. NO computer, no answers, just a kid who doesn't even believe this computer is coming anymore. I can't say I blame him. I can't imagine how this got so screwed up. It has been 190 days, and I have received 4 different dates of delivery. But even today when I emailed customer service they STILL had an incorrect address, even though I have corrected them a dozen times. They don't even have the correct state? Geez, who's running the show a bunch of 1st graders could do better.

WHERE IS MY SON'S COMPUTER!!!!!????
