Excellent XOaloha!

Regarding T-Mobile, were you able to get your pin and such?

Can't get the "circle to turn white" when I tried to use it near a tmobile hotspot. I did get my username & password for tmobile, but will have to try harder to see if I can get it to work. Glad to be able to use other people's bandwidth tho.

When you updated the software, did you go to 656?

Yes, the updated OS was 656 & worked fine with other connections in my area, just not tmobile.

So when you tried to connect, it blinked, then stopped blinking when it failed to connect?

Has anyone else had this issue?

Infamy,
I'm still having the same problem. Today, I was unable to connect with anyone so far. The mesh circles blink, but none of the wireless connections so far have let me on. I'll continue to try, but it is pretty frustrating. I can't even see the internet connection in our house on my network for XO--only see a lot of mesh circles. Am I missing something or doing something wrong? I was able to connect to other people's bandwidth yesterday. HELP! I really would like it to be able to connect to the internet. We have no security on my DSL in our house & none at my parents (where I couldn't see their cable connection either when I went to the neighborhood page).

Appreciate any thoughts and advice.

Thanks--very discouraged to have only had one day of connection. Can't connect at all any more with anyone. <sigh>

Thanks--a volunteer called me today & gave me a line of code I'll try when I'm near the XO at home. Am hoping it works & will be able to connect again. I am wondering why only a few of the internet connections show up on the neighborhood screen, even tho I KNOW there are tons of unlocked internet connections in my neighborhood. Any thoughts? It still doesn't show the DSL in our home or my parents' cable connection or any of the many connections of my next door neighbors, all of whom have unlocked internet.
Thanks!

I ordered my G1G1 XO on Nov26 and had to call the volunteers for help to find it.
I also received e-mails saying it was coming...... I finally had to call to have them find it.
It was shipped from Brightstar by USPS Priority to my Post Office Box in Oregon on Jan/27/2008.
NOT ALL XO'S ARE BEING SHIPPED BY UPS!

Thanks for the Help.

XOsatellit,

This is true(though I think you mean FedEx). We have tried to accommondate people by using the USPS. I think you will find a few others around here that have recieved thier XO in this manner.

Sorry for the error

I appreciate your assistance. Thanks a lot
(I know it is off topic, but I have connected to my Airport Extreeme, motel wireless sytems in Portland and Bend OR. Upgraded to 656 and installed Opera. I am waiting for a second G1G1 XO ordered on the last day so I can test Mesh sharing. Have briefly connected to the Jabber server in Portland and at collabora.uk SP? to test.)

Thanks Again for the help

That's awesome. At this point I am really thinking a second XO would really do the trick. I underestimated how many people would want to see these things in action :)

What is Opera? How does one get & install it? What does it do? What should I do so my XO can "see" the network in our home or any other place where one is located? Only sometimes does it "see" networks, even when there is a working, unshielded one in the room where the XO is. HELP!
