Too Many Forums!

There are lots of empty and near-empty forums! Consolidate them down into 1 or 2 essentials until those get really full and create the need for more.
I bought an OLPC through G1G1 and thus have an extra T-Mobile year of wi-fi access which I don't need. Do you want it? Let me know.

I've trimmed the list. Please review and post your suggestions and comments here.

Thanks for the note.

Peter,

I think General discussion section is needed more on the top rather than the student section...

It will be probably good to have hardware related section as well.

Thanks for the suggestions

I've moved the general discussion forum to the top of the main page, added the hardware forum, and also added a Users' group forum.

Thanks! The current setup is nice. There are still a couple unnecessary forums, maybe consider combining them and then moving out related threads as the others fill up. As of this writing, "How do I use it?", "I'm a Pre-Teen", and "I'm a Teenager" forums have only 1 thread each.

It's true, there are some excess forums with zero posts. They are there to encourage conversation and as the current format doesn't make them show up on the home page, it should be OK.

It shouldn't be all technology, so I'll leave them alone for now. I may be wrong, but it won't hurt.

I'll try to limit any new forums to suggestions made by the community.

Problem with swan.laptop.org

Postby easthope » Fri Dec 04, 2015 2:01 am

A message to devel@laptops.org produced the following reply from
my ISP. Appears that swan has blacklisted the ISP or has a problem
which prevents normal operation. Any ideas?

Thanks, ... Peter E.
