w-g-e-t and posting.php?

Postby Ben » Mon Mar 31, 2008 12:08 am

Does anyone know why I can't post or preview a message with the word "w-g-e-t" (without the dashes) in either the subject or the body? Nor can I search for the word.

The error message is:
----------------

Method Not Implemented

POST to /posting.php not supported.

Sounds like a bug in phpBB.

This was due to a rule in mod_security getting caught on the phrase wget when trying to post to posting.php. I've created and implemented a workaround for this.

wget

should now work when inside of posts.

In the future, forum moderators should discuss these types of issues with us (the osuosl) to get them resolved quickly. I just happened across your posting and was able to fix the issue in a few minutes.

Thanks
