XOhio - Ohio Users group?

Anyone interested in an XO user's group in Ohio?

It would be neat to see people at the Ohio Linuxfest, which is usually in September in Columbus.

I don't go to user group meetings of any sort except professionally, but I'll certainly provide whatever assistance I can to other XO users in the area (Toledo.) Turns out one of my very good friends got his the same day mine arrived (unbeknownst to me.) I didn't even know that he had signed up for the G1G1 program until I ran into him at a local coffee shop where he had it with him.

In any case there are (at least) two of them in Toledo, now.

I just received a replacement for mine that I sent back earlier this month (non functional USB ports.) The new one works fine.

Hi ralphw - I would be interested. I was a G3G3, but have only received one.

I work in Marietta. I am the only XO user that I know of in the area, at least until my husband's comes in. Soon, there will be one in Chesapeake with my daughter as well.

I am a Junior at the University of Findlay in NW Ohio. I want to start a group for XO awareness at my school, and maybe do some sort of fundraiser to donate XOs. Anyone around interested in participating? Anyone have any ideas for me?

I'm too busy right now to be directly involved, but you have a good idea. You might want to take a look at the Cambodia project at http://jumpstartlearning.wordpress.com

They have a good model for attracting XO's and dollars for their project. Perhaps you might want to work with them, or start something similar yourself with an on-campus group.
