Speaker Problems

I'm having a speaker problem with an XO. After a while, the speakers will begin to make popping and hissing noises. You can still hear noises that the system makes too, so the speakers are still connected. I have confirmed that this is a hardware issue and I am going to have to investigate the speakers manually. The system test shows them as working normally because, as I said before, this happens after some time that the system has been on. Has anyone had a similar issue with their speakers before?
