a) how-to connect an ad-hoc openwireless network?
b) every time connect same network, when I start OLPC?

Little example, possible how-to connect an ad-hoc network
a) start terminal program
b) type
Code: Select all
su [enter]
iwconfig eth0 essid MyAdHocNetName chan 10 [enter]
dhclient eth0 [enter]
exit [enter]
exit [enter]

c) start browser and surf

Sorry, I'm a bit of a newbie, and kind of confused about what that software update did.

I need to find a network and actually log into it using a username/password. Is this possible with this software?

Also, is there a way to return back to my other networks? you mentioned that it would make that particular connection the default. I was wondering if there was a way to reverse that.
