What can I remove.

I updated to 8.2.0 and now my disk is 97% full. What is the best stuff to remove or move to my SD drive.
What should I save if anything in the Versions directory.

in the end, as long as you have the files you have created (like write or vids you recorded, etc) then you can wipe everything and start over if you want. there are instructions how to wipe everything:

http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Release_notes ... e_internet

but any of the older versions of the OS should be able to go as well.

I am sorry, I was not clear. I need to create more space on the XO and still run 8.2.0.
The directory "/versions" contains 2 gig. What can I delete from "/versions/run" with out harm. There are two subdirectory with long number names. I assume one is the old operating system and the other is the new one with hard or soft links to the usual unix directories. Is that right? Can I delete one? How do I find out which one to delete.

Are there large directories I might be able to move to the SD without hindrance in performance.

Go to end of this page http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Talk:Olpc-update

for:

Solution:

# rm -rf /versions/*/$OLD_BUILD_HASH_GOES_HERE

Which you figure out by looking at

# ls -la /versions/pristine/
