Trouble with the 2.6.28 linux kernel

Postby thekevinday » Mon Jan 19, 2009 8:47 pm

I've recently tried the 2.6.28 kernel on the olpc.
The frame buffer gets all screwy and the MMC device spits out a kernel I/O error.

I dropped back to the 2.6.27 series with the same kernel config and everything worked fine.

I have not done extensive testing, however, I felt the need to report this so that people would be aware that there is an existing problem with the 2.6.28. (at least for me..)

The olpc boots and runs properly on the 2.6.30 kernel.
