Starting the linux shell at boot-up

Is there any key combination that will allow one to boot directly into terminal? I downloaded the new OS img only to run out of space and the machine will not boot now, After holding gamepad "check" down, I get an "OSerror: [Errno 28] stating no space left on device" I've searched around and I haven't found a key combination to boot from terminal rather than the Sugar GUI. Is there a way around this? I just need a way to remove the partial file and download it to a USB device instead.

OLPC Trac 5719 - Added the ability to delete files on a JFFS2 volume as a weak workaround for problems where the presence of a file prevents the OS from booting. Example use: ok rm n:\home\olpc\.olpc-configured

I didn't have a chance to get my develop.sig before the machine ran out of space. I cannot get to an ok prompt at bootup. I can on my nieces' machines because I have since loaded their developer keys. I booted with an SD card inserted, loaded with

It updated my OS and erased everything else but at least it boots now. I was worried since I didn't load my develop.sig before this fiasco. Note to self: Always save files to USB
