That info is hard to find. You'd think it'd be on the front page of the wiki.

List from the top of my head (I think most are pilots)

Mongolia
Nepal
Peru
India
Haiti
Uraguay
Alabama, US

I think Nigeria can be added to the list.

I'm part of a small effort in India that has some G1G1 laptops that are deployed to a school.

Is there a website where I can upload our "lessons learned" and plans for using the XOs as well as ask some technical questions?

TIA,

HB

As far as a place for centralized lessons learned, and how you plan on using them I would go with the Wiki at wiki.laptop.org. You could create a page for your school and have subpages for lessons and uses, it will even allow you to upload pictures and whatnot so it would be a good place for a central location.

As far as tech support I can only recommend either here or olpcnews.com/forums/ The latter seems to be more active, you can also just either PM me here there or on the wiki I am koolkat in all places. I've got one here In leeds and enjoy messing around with it.

I've got xubuntu installed on an SDcard, but I've left the native sugar/fedora on the internal NAND so I can use it for comparison purposes. Once places get up and running that have replacement parts I will get more adventurous with overclocking and modding it, but not until I can easily buy a replacement mobo.

Have fun in India soon you'll be called a babu hopefully.

Thanks, koolkat, for the quick reply.

I had thought of the wiki.laptop option, but thought that my pages would "live" under some parent pages for this type of thing.

I guess at worst, any pages I create can then be moved under a parent that I missed, etc.

Best,

There are many technical details and "how to pages" at http://wiki.laptop.org/ . Just takes a little searching.
Another good place to ask questions or look for answers is the OLPC community support and discussion mailing list http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/community-support
and of course http://en.forum.laptop.org/

Here is the list of OLPC lists http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo

Hi !
I am the person in charge of the Belgian NGO "Anthony Charity", http://www.AnthonyCharity.org (in french : http://www.OeuvreDesPains.org). I just came back from one month in India where we have our projects. The main one is a school in U.P. in the Moradabad district in a rural area where we have more than 500 students. It is three hours from you (from Meerut).
We have 9 XOs at the moment. It would be nice if our people could go and visit you in Meerut or the contrary to share some ideas about how to use the XO in Indian context. You can contact me : mvalentin AT oeuvredespains.org
I would suggest you to join the OLPC India mailing list at : http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/india
Since this is the place to share everything concerning XO and India !

Holden, I'm not sure offhand where on the wiki you should create the info, but if you create it from your home page, you can always link to it from better wiki.laptop.org pages as you find them (and if you announce your info's wiki page address here, maybe others can figure out how best to link to it).

Are you still having trouble taking/posting pictures from your OLPC for your blog?
