XO Goes XP - True or not?

Postby abuser4lif3 » Sat May 17, 2008 6:25 am

I was really surprised when i saw that XO goes XP - That would be great! That way XO can have both Linux and XP and it would be more widely used I think... Finally some smart move from OLPC.

Whats your opinion about this?

Yes that does seem to be true. In fact BBC has an image with the XO with XP showing. (http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/4 ... op_226.jpg) and in addition there seems to be an XO2 with only a touchscreen will be released as well. (http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/4 ... dy-226.jpg)

I find it interesting that including XP adds $3 software and $7 hardware costs thus raising the price 10% (assuming they're still aiming at $100).
