Once the laptops are delivered to the children, what tech support do they have? What about repairs?

There are now several repair centers around the country. See http://wiki.laptop.org
Some major parts, such as replacement batteries, are available: http://xoexplosion.com
and http://ilovemyxo.com

Support is primarily through the wiki, forums such as this, online chats, and emails to help@laptop.org . Do not expect telephone support.

Help pages are part of the software.

You can download full manuals in PDF format or order (separately) printed manuals.

Use the search features on this forum and the wiki to get more information.

Emma_blue,

do you mean when laptops are deployed in developing countries? In that case, the country receives 1% extra in their order to use for parts/replacement of DOA units. The country itself will set up a repair system for XOs. I believe in Uruguay they have about 100 people who work on XO deployments full time for that country.

If your question was about support for the G1G1 (GiveOne,GetOne)laptops that you can acquire through amazon.com, then ncarrol's answer has all the info.
