Hello. I,too, cnnot take phootos b/c journal is full.
I used the clear instructions @ viewtopic.php?f=17&t=162564
and removed old version from 2007. Rebooted. df reports same memory usage as before. journal is just as full, too; maybe the old version wasn't the problem.
Thanks for advice, sorry if i'm not inding the matching thread, but i have looked.

We can see that you have 80mb free. As per mentioned in this thread before,
ektoric wrote:You indeed have less than 200mb free, and I guess Record wants to make sure it has at least 200mb free. Try removing some of the older versions of the OS. I think someone here recently posted excellent suggestions on how to do that.

Edit: Ah yes, it was culseg in viewtopic.php?f=1334&t=162324

You mentioned you deleted a version of the OS from 2007. Is there perhaps other upgrade images on there? As in, you should keep your one current one, and delete all previous version. Secondly (and more importantly), you said that journal is full. Try cleaning up your journal, deleting old or unused entries.

i had deleted all old versions (there was only one old one) and have now, after several boring hours on the train, emptied my journal. 101 MB free, even after resstart, if that matters.

however, finally read the wiki correctly, ralized i'm using last year's version, and am updating to 802. Perhaps that helps.

One concern was that old journal entries weren't being auto-deleted. So we'll see tomorow.

sorry abt typos; kid-sized kybord oh well.

A good reference for udating:

http://wiki.laptop.org/go/No-fail_update

Recommend the section on a clean install using a USB drive.

I would try to find out what is using the disk space before attempting an upgrade. "du -s" is useful for this.
