I would like to use the Browse application.
However, it appears that the browse icon is missing from the OS's UI.
To be specific I do not see this icon:

In fact, the only icon I see is a compostie of these 2
http://laptop.org/img/activity-journal.png
http://laptop.org/img/activity-write.png
in a single icon.

Build: update.1 703
firmware: Q2D14
serial number: CSN74701664

Thanks in advance
Paul

so you can't see it in either the favorites view (in a circle) or in the list view? (from the favorites view- icons in a circle- click the list icon in the top right corner, next to the circle icon.)

apologies if it's nothing that simple.

Thanks for the quick reply.

That is correct.
The only icon in the circle in the ceneter of the screen
is a "journal with pen" icon as I described before.

I have clicked and right clicked on all other UI elements.

From this page
http://laptop.org/7.1.0/gettingstarted/connecting.shtml
it appears that there should be applications at the bottom of the screen in the "home view".
On my screen I see nothing on the bottom of the sceen in the home view.

Thanks
Paul

at the top right corner there should be two icons, one looks like a circle and one that looks like 4 lines.

if clicking on the four lines icon does not show a list of some kind, then you have real problems and may want to reinstall. if it does show a list, you should be able to get your circle of icons back.
